-_-....and this is why I say to people, polish your skills in real sim racing games like rFactor 2, LFS, Assetto Corsa, Racer free car simulator, iRacing, Grand Prix legends and much much more, before going to track...They never listen or abandon after 1 week of trying them with a proper wheel because it's too hard. There's so much skills that you can develop in these games seriously.

I agree. This is a pretty great example of very poor driving. He doesn't even know where his wheels are pointing most of the time.
Beyond simulators, I would give go karts the best learning tool.

This is true, but it doesn't save your car from other people. my BRZ has a nice dent near the bottom of the passenger side just forward of the rear wheel because some lady cut a corner too close in a parking lot and i had to swerve to avoid her and ended up bumping the corner of a curb.

That too! Getting a fast lap on a go-kart takes a lot of accelerator work on corners. I tend to have too much of a heavy foot...

But you limited the damage, no? I don't know your background but let's just say that you're into sim racing a lot. An accident is about to happen in a few secs in front of you. The reflexes that you earn makes you able to see all the paths possible to either avoid the accident or just limit the damage as low as possible. Compared to a normal casual driver that don't get any training anywhere that would probably smash the car... Maybe I'm thinking too much too.

I limited the damage to about 2 square inches instead of my whole front end.

Or walk before you run.
Try autocross or something first.

First problem, don't autocross with curbs near by. Our local club uses a runway.
